NOTICE OF ELECTION

CITY OF BUCHANAN, MICHIGAN

FEBRUARY 27^TH, 2024, ELECTION

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF BUCHANAN:

Notice is hereby given that a presidential

primary election will be held in the City of Buchanan

on Tuesday, February 27^th, 2024.

 The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

At the following locations:

Precinct 1           

City of Buchanan City Hall, 302 N Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107

Precinct 2           

Redbud City Center, 131 South Oak St, Buchanan, MI 49107

For the purposes of nominating

candidates for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

Please take notice the City of Buchanan will be voting on the following proposals.

I. BUCHANAN COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

OPERATING MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL

EXEMPTING PRINCIPAL RESIDENCE

AND OTHER PROPERTY EXEMPTED BY LAW

18.4001 MILLS FOR 10 YEARS

II. BUCHANAN COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

SINKING FUND MILLAGE RENEWAL PROPOSAL

.7919 MILL FOR 8 YEARS

Full text of the ballot proposal may be obtained at the City of Buchanan, located at 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI 49107 as well as on The City of Buchanan website at www.cityofbuchanan.com. Sample ballots can also be found at www.mi.gov/vote

Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered voters may contact the local clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot.

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the city clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
